FSC® Pressure Treated Lumber
Sustainable Northwest Wood's pressure treated lumber is solely sourced from the Pacific Northwest and is FSC Certified.
Our lumber is all Douglas Fir, which is recognized globally for its superior dimensional stability. We use copper azole for our in stock lumber (also known as CA-C), which is a preferred alternative to chromated copper arsenate (CCA). We can also provide borate, ACQ, and fire treatments upon request.
We work directly with a variety of small mills throughout the Northwest, which provide a spectrum of jobs in rural communities.
Many of the mills we work with source logs from unlikely candidates like the Fort Lewis Army Base in Washington. Selective harvesting of Douglas Fir is a way to provide ultimate health of the forest without having to clear cut. A healthy forest with higher diversity of tree species increases ecological health.
