Restoration Juniper Flooring

Sustainable Northwest Wood's Restoration Juniper flooring showcases all of the beauty and character for which juniper is known.

Our Restoration Juniper flooring is stocked in a 5" face width. This character-grade, solid wood flooring is kiln-dried to less than 12% moisture content. It is 3/4" thick, end-matched, and comes in lengths up to 96".

Juniper is characterized by its beautiful, wild grain patterns and warm cream and reddish tones. It displays juniper's typical color variations, knots, and other distinctive characteristics.

Custom sizes, engineered, and prefinished flooring options are also available.

This high-quality solid wood flooring is sourced from rangeland restoration projects in Central and Eastern Oregon's high desert.

Juniper is a native species found throughout the high deserts of the West.  While juniper contributes to a scenic landscape, years of wildfire suppression have allowed it to take over what was formerly a high desert grassland ecosystem.  Its out-of-control population growth and thirst for limited water supplies lead to erosion and a loss of biodiversity.

As a result, many acres of juniper are now being cut as part of a program to restore the grassland ecosystem. Sustainable Northwest Wood's Restoration Juniper is sourced from this program as we work to develop markets for this beautiful, durable, and useful wood while supporting the sawmills in rural communities.
