Our Willamette Valley Walnut flooring is milled from walnut trees salvaged from homes and orchards near Portland. This solid hardwood flooring offers classic walnut color and character and many decades of performance.
Walnut is a luxurious choice for interior flooring and provides a richness, depth in color, and fascinating grain patterns that cannot be mimicked by other species. Our walnut flooring is available in face widths of 4", 5", and 6". This character-grade walnut floor is kiln-dried to less than 12% moisture content and offers a traditional tongue-and-groove profile.
Custom face widths and grades are also available.
The wood used for this flooring is milled from beetle damaged trees salvaged from backyards and orchards in the Willamette Valley. Many of the walnut trees brought to the Pacific Northwest by early immigrants have become victims of a fast-spreading disease transmitted by beetles, called Thousand Cankers Disease, and become hazard trees that require removal from backyards.
Sustainable Northwest Wood works with local mills to salvage the logs from these trees and turn them into beautiful, functional flooring.
