PLACE
Myrtlewood and Tanoak hardwoods are sourced from tribal land stewards on the southern Oregon Coast whose forest is certified by the stringent standards of the Forest Stewardship Council - FSC®.  This beautiful flooring is manufactured by our friends at Zena Forest Products in the Willamette Valley.   Zena EdgeGrain™ flooring in Oregon White Oak can be seen in all its glory at Portland International Airport and is the only flooring of its kind made in the United States.

PURPOSE
Zena EdgeGrain™ hardwood flooring is sustainable and renewable and designed to provide decades of beauty and durability. Designed to utilize small pieces and offcuts from plank style flooring production, this unique and innovative flooring tile makes better use of the tree, reducing wood waste. This flooring is durable enough for high traffic commercial applications and also makes beautiful wall and ceiling cladding. This eco-conscious, solid wood product is made without adhesives, and is ideal for LEED and Living Building Challenge projects.

PEOPLE
We work with Indigenous peoples that care for the forest,  and local family owned mills to cut,  kiln-dry the lumber, and manufacture this hardwood flooring, supporting the resilience of Pacific Northwest forests, our local economy and the people in rural communities.

FEATURES

• Kiln dried hardwood
• 7 ½" x 15" x 10mm thick hardwood tiles that are composed of ¾" wide individual strips and two thin embedded wire backings on the underside of the tile
• Solid 7 mm wear layer can be refinished 6-8 times, resulting in decades of use and lifetimes of enjoyment
• Crafted without glue, preventing gapping and allowing for seasonal movement
• Easy to maintain and repair
• Unfinished
