Wood products made with White fir range from framing lumber to interior decorative applications. For interiors, the soft white color can be left natural, for a clean and bright feel or it provides a neutral base for staining. Ours is exclusively sourced from local, well-managed FSC Certified forests.

PLACE
White fir (Abies concolor)  grows in the higher and dry elevations of the West. Ours comes from well-managed forests in the Southern Cascades and Northern Sierra Nevada mountains ranges.

PURPOSE
White fir has been somewhat overlooked for decades due to the wide variety of other softwoods in the Pacific Northwest. It is well suited for framing lumber, providing a lightweight but strong material for studs.  It is also an affordable solution for interior wall & ceiling cladding and other decorative applications.  FSC Certification ensures responsible sourcing to meet sustainability goals of LEED and Living Building Challenge projects.

PEOPLE
Designers, contractors and homeowners looking for a light colored wood that provides a natural and bright pop will be drawn to White Fir. White fir is easily stained for a variety of design possibilities.  We are proud to partner with the Collins Companies, a local, family owned mill, that provides our FSC Certified White fir lumber.
